For any non-closeout, non-shoe items, if you aren't thrilled with your men's dance pants order, ship it back to us (un-altered) within 60 days and we will send a refund check for 110% of the purchase price. Spent $248? Get a refund for $272.80. Fast. Easy.
I have taught, danced, and competed professionally for 7 years. In those 7 years, I had a frustrating time finding men's dance clothing that looked and fit the way I wanted them to. I was paying $300+ for custom pants that had velcro closures on the waistband and a style that was from the mid-90s. The nicest pants I've owned took over 3 months to get to my doorstep.
When you teach and practice 30-50 hours per week, you really wish stuff like getting pants was a much easier thing to do. Thus, the Line M Clothing Company was born. All our products are designed after that world-champion look. From the choice of crisp material, to the sewn in creases, to the unique belt loops, our stuff is designed to look great while being as versatile and wearable as possible. No other men's dance clothing company offers products with the same details.
I'm so confident that you'll love our stuff, that we back all of our non-closeout, non-shoe items with, not a 100% money-back guarantee, but a 110% guarantee. You won't find that anywhere else.
Take a tape measure and wrap it around your midsection at or just below your belly button. This is where the pants should sit. Pull the tape so it's snug, and take note of the measurement. This is your size. If you happen to be in between sizes, then take a look at your legs. If you have thinner or "average" thigh thickness, go down a size. If you've got more muscular thighs, go up.
Keep in mind, however, that our New Basic Latin pants have some stretch in the waistband (the Tuxedo has none), so you may want to go a size down. For example, if I measured "30" just below my belly button, I'd order a "29" in the New Basic, a size "30" in the New Tux, and size "30"s in all the closeout styles.
Regardless, you can take them to a tailor to tweak them just right. The pants are built to be taken in or let out up to an inch.
Also, in terms of length, the pants come with an unhemmed 36-inseam. Long enough for the freakishly tall. Yao Ming tall.
Just use your street shoe size.
They are designed to be pretty low maintenance. Just machine wash them in cold water and hang dry them. Then iron them at as low a temperature as possible. Also, don't slide around on the floor wearing them, or any pants for that matter.
Just pick up a quick shine brush at Target or Walmart and they'll look nice and shiny for a long time. For the soles, Shoe Glue tends to do the trick quite well. And the suede could use brushing from time to time.
As these are off the rack pants, they need to be hemmed before you can wear them. Take them to a tailor and bring whatever dance shoes you plan on wearing with them. Tell the tailor to hem them up about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch above the floor while you're wearing your shoes.
A good tailor can also take the pants out and bring them in as necessary.
Now, for most of our customers, nothing but a hem needed to be put in for the pants to look and fit nicely. If you are a procrastinator and have a competition the day after you receive your pants, here's what you can do to get by without a tailor:
Right now, sizes from 28 to 40 is all we've got. We just don't have enough demand to carry anything smaller or larger than that.
Don't panic. Email us and let us know what size, style, and quantity you need and by when. Normally, we can replenish out of stock items within a couple weeks.
Unfortunately, no we don't everything we've got is listed on the site right now.
Unfortunately, no we cannot. You can try dancepants.com though.
We normally ship USPS Priority on the next business day. For example, you order on Monday night. Your items will go out Tuesday and you should receive them by Friday at the latest. For legality's sake, I'm going to say that shipment takes 3-5 days, but on the hush-hush, many of our customers get their orders in 2-3.
We normally ship via USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation.
We used to offer an overnight option, but FedEx charged $75 for this service AND it was often unreliable. We had some customers receiving their FedEx packages 2 or 3 days late. That's why we no longer offer the overnight option.
Unfortunately, we do not. We only ship to the United States.
Sorry, we do not offer price adjustments.
We only accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, or Google Checkout. This is for your protection as well as ours. No checks, money orders, barter, or CODs. Does anyone even use CODs anymore?
Most people find this confusing, but it is exactly what it says. If you aren't happy with your non-closeout, non-shoe order you can, within 60 days, return your items (undamaged, unaltered, and in resalable condition) and get 100% of your purchase price plus 10% on top of that.
We've been selling pants since 2007 and we've had only a handful of customers return anything, and most of those people ask us to refund them 100% not 110% (most people are really nice). But, a deal is a deal and we always make good on our 110%.
Why would I offer such a crazy thing? Because we get so much great feedback from our customers, that I'm pretty much willing to lose money to get you to just try our stuff.
There is one caveat. If you do decide to return something, we reserve the right to withdraw the 110% return policy on your future orders. Meaning, you'd get your 110% refund for the thing you're returning, but 4 months down the road when you realize that our stuff is pretty sweet, you're only backed by a 100% guarantee.
Also, if you make a habit of ordering and returning, ordering and returning, we reserve the right to refuse future orders.
See the Returns & Exchanges page for more details and exact instructions.
Final note, the 110% guarantee applies to all non-closeout items unless otherwise stated. Closeout items are non-returnable.
It's not a problem at all. As long as the items are in resalable condition, you can exchange them within 60 days.
